Carbon Reduction Plan

Aeon Nursing Ltd is committed to reducing the environmental impact of its operations and supporting the United Kingdom’s transition to Net Zero. As a provider of nursing and healthcare staffing services, we understand that environmental responsibility supports good governance, sustainable service delivery, and long-term resilience. Our Carbon Reduction Plan explains how we monitor, manage, and reduce emissions across the business.

We have published this page to give a clear summary of our approach. It also provides access to the latest approved Carbon Reduction Plan. The PDF remains the formal version of the document. Our published plan confirms Aeon Nursing Ltd’s commitment to achieving Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.

Our Commitment

Aeon Nursing is fully committed to achieving Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. We believe sustainability is part of running a responsible and resilient organisation. At the same time, we remain focused on delivering safe and high-quality nursing services.

To support this commitment, we continue to assess and monitor greenhouse gas emissions across the business. We also set clear reduction targets and review progress over time. In addition, we invest in energy-efficient ways of working, support sustainable procurement, engage with suppliers on responsible sourcing, and promote environmental awareness across the organisation.

Organisational Scope

Aeon Nursing Ltd provides temporary and permanent nursing staff to healthcare providers across England. Our Carbon Reduction Plan covers the main parts of our operation. These include office-based administration, remote and hybrid working, recruitment and compliance activity, nurse and clinician travel to client sites, and the use of IT systems and communication platforms.

Because of the nature of our services, many of our emissions are indirect and travel-related. Therefore, our carbon reduction work focuses not only on direct energy use, but also on travel, digital working, procurement, waste reduction, and daily business processes.

Baseline Emissions

Aeon Nursing Ltd has identified 2025 as the baseline year for emissions reporting. This baseline gives us a clear reference point for measuring future reductions. It also helps us track progress in a structured and consistent way.

Our published baseline emissions data covers gas, electricity, water supply, company cars fuel, employee travel, and waste disposal. The total baseline emissions recorded in the plan are 26.5 tCO2e. The document also records an emissions reduction achieved figure of 28.9 tCO2e, stated as 52.2% compared to the baseline year.

As our reporting develops, we intend to strengthen and refine our carbon data further. Over time, we expect to expand reporting where appropriate. For example, the plan refers to future inclusion of additional Scope 3 categories such as business travel, employee commuting, and waste generated in operations.

Carbon Reduction Targets

Aeon Nursing Ltd has set the following carbon reduction targets:

25% reduction by 2030

65% reduction by 2040

Net Zero by 2050

We will review progress against these targets annually. We will also report progress internally and, where required, externally for framework and tender purposes. In this way, we can remain accountable and support continuous improvement across the business.

Carbon Reduction Measures

Aeon Nursing Ltd has already introduced several measures to help reduce emissions. These include encouraging staff and clinicians to accept placements closer to home where possible, promoting public transport use and car-sharing, and increasing the use of virtual interviews, inductions, and meetings.

We also support a predominantly remote and hybrid working model. In addition, we use energy-efficient IT equipment and reduce paper usage through digital compliance systems. We use cloud-based systems to reduce the need for physical infrastructure. We also give preference to suppliers that have environmental and sustainability policies in place.

Our waste reduction approach supports this work as well. For example, we continue to develop paperless onboarding and document management processes. We also improve the responsible disposal of electronic equipment and reduce single-use plastics where suitable alternatives are available.

Alongside these completed and ongoing measures, we have identified further initiatives. These include exploring cycle-to-work and public transport support, reviewing electric vehicle options where appropriate, reducing unnecessary travel for meetings, continuing the move towards paperless services, increasing the use of local suppliers, carrying out annual carbon footprint measurement, and strengthening staff awareness of environmental responsibility.

Governance and Review

Aeon Nursing Ltd is committed to maintaining a clear and accountable approach to environmental governance. Our Carbon Reduction Plan states that it has been completed in accordance with the relevant guidance and reporting standards. It also states that the plan has been reviewed and signed off by the board of directors, or an equivalent management body.

The declaration page of the PDF records the signatory as Naeem Aslam, Director, dated 7 April 2026. In addition, the cover page identifies Aeon Nursing Ltd as the supplier, gives the publication date as April 2026, and names Naeem Aslam, Director, as the responsible person for the document.

We will continue to review our environmental performance and keep our Carbon Reduction Plan under review as part of our wider commitment to responsible business practice, sustainable development, and continuous improvement.
